The 77th Annual Tony Awards take place on June 16th, and we're gearing up for the big day by checking out our favorite Broadway stars out of their costumes. Many Hollywood actors unleash their inner thespians by lending their famous mugs to Broadway productions. This is a win-win-win. Actors win, audiences win, and this important New York City economic engine wins. We wish that every actor had a little thespian inside of him.

This year's notable Hollywood-crossover Tony nominees include Eddie Redmayne (Best Leading Actor In A Musical for Cabaret), Liev Schrieber (Best Leading Actor in a Play for Doubt), Daniel Radcliffe (Best Featured Actor In A Musical for Merrily We Roll Along), Jonathan Groff (Best Leading Actor in a Musical for Merrily We Roll Along), Corey Stoll (Best Featured Actor In A Play for Appropriate), and Jim Parsons ( Best Featured Actor in a Play for Mother Play).

But that's not all. We're also looking to stars of past big theater hits to see what they've been up to in their hottest movie and television roles. Okay, The Great White Way!

Liev Schreiber

Liev Schreiber first appeared on Broadway back in 1993's In The Summer House. Since then he's starred in over a dozen Broadway productions, even picking up the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for Glengarry Glen Ross in 2015. Liev leaves his clothes on the beach for his skinny dipping scene in Ray Donovan.

Daniel Radcliffe

Despite being one of Broadway's most prolific young stars, Daniel Radcliffe's nomination for Merrily We Roll Along is his first Tony nomination to date. He famously kicked off his theater career with Equus all of the way back in 2008, and has never looked back. Radcliffe stripped down for 2013's Kill Your Darlings, in which he shows his buns for a gay sex scene. (See his intense self-loving scene here)

Eddie Redmayne

Eddie Redmayne dared to take on the storied Emcee role in the Cabaret revival on Broadway. His risk paid off, as he's a frontrunner at this year's ceremony. Taking an even bigger risk, Redmayne played a trans woman in the drama The Danish Girl, where he slipped us his bratwurst. Willkommen to the smoke show.

Jonathan Groff

We most likely don't need to tell you Jonathan Groff's most famous Broadway role. Who doesn't remember Groff's scene-stealing portrayal of King George III in Hamilton? His performance can be enjoyed by audiences across the globe on Disney+. Groff not only stripped down for his iconic series Looking, but also went frontal in his little-known 2010 movie Twelve Thirty.

Jim Parsons

Out and proud actor Jim Parsons has a proud history of playing challenging gay roles on Broadway. Fans could catch him in The Normal Heart, The Boys In The Band, and more. This year's nomination marks Parsons' first tony nomination. He hasn't gotten nude on screen but did have the distinct pleasure of seeing Matt Bomer's enowed manhood in the flesh in Netflix's adaptation of The Boys In The Band. (More on that later in this post!)

Corey Stoll

Stoll's four Broadway appearances span twenty years, with his first Broadway appearance being in Henry IV back in 2003. Appropriate marks Corey's first Tony nomination, and we wish him the best at this year's ceremony. On-screen, Stoll burst into the mainstream on House Of Cards, but endeared himself to the queer community with his gay role opposite fellow thespian Andrew Rannells in Girls.

Andrew Rannells

Speaking of Rannells, he might rival Groff as being the actor most associated with his theater talents versus his Hollywood ones. Rannells was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for his iconic role in The Book Of Mormon. On-screen, we will redirect you to his cute relationship with Stoll on Girls.

Denzel Washington

Denzel is a Broadway veteran, first appearing in Checkmates back in 1988. As if his two Oscars and two Golden Globes aren't enough, Denzel also won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for 2010's Fences. Most people don't know they can see America's Original Daddy out of his clothes in 1990's Mississippi Masala.

Hugh Jackman

If Wolverine seemed at ease in his musical hit The Greatest Showman, that's because Broadway is in his blood. Jackman's first production was 2003's The Boy From Oz (for which he won the Tony for Best Actor in a Musical), and most recently he starred in The Music Man in 2022, which earned Jackman his second Tony nomination.

Matt Bomer

Before starring in 2020's Netflix movie adaptation The Boys In The Band, Bomer eased into the role in the iconic queer play's 2018 Broadway debut (the original 1968 production was off-Broadway). In the Netflix adaptation, he goes as far as a man can go on screen, showcasing his endowed manhood in a shower scene. (See the uncensored clip here).
