One look at young Jim Carrey in Once Bitten (1985) and at once, we were smitten! Yes, this sex comedy horror film stars the young comic who was being billed as "the man of a thousand faces" at the time as Mark Kendall, a naïve, horny high school student who wants to plow his girlfriend, Robin (Karen Kopins). But ever the good girl, she’s not willing to put out. Mr. Man, on the other hand, would rock his world. Enter The Countess (Lauren Hutton), a four-centuries old vampire that needs to feast on the blood of virgin dudes in order to maintain her youthful looks and keep her immortality. Well, it looks like the blood-sucking babe is having difficulty finding male virgins, especially at the L.A.-based singles clubs she patrols. Maybe try the comic book store? One day she lucks out and is at the said club where Countess crosses paths with Mark and his buddies Jamie and Russ (Thomas Ballatore and Skip Lackey) as they're looking to get laid. While Mark’s hormones are ready to explode, he’s a soft touch for the vampire and her seductive ways. After a couple bites from Countess, Mark starts going through a vampirish transformation that can only be stopped by intercourse with Robin. Open your legs and save his soul! This bawdy romp serves up plenty of laughs, along with full nudity from Skip Lackey, butt from Thomas Ballatore, and shirtless sweetness from Carrey in a penis-checking shower scene. Yes, Skip, Jim and Thomas are all in the showers together and the pair grab Jim to make sure he's not suffering from all sorts of STD's. Sure, the whole thing sets up a pretty nasty homophobic joke, but the jokes on the screenwriter because we did all sorts of nasty stuff that that scene! Once Bitten will have you drooling!
