Slasher (2016-2023)

Mr. Man prefers a flasher to a slasher, but every once in a while, he's in the mood for some spooky stuff!To that end, Slasher was Chiller's first original series, though it was a whole lot like the American Horror Story franchise in execution. Essentially, every season starting with the first one in 2016 centered around a totally different horror scenario, with the occasional actor appearing as a new character in each iteration. First up was "The Executioner" where Sarah Bennett (Katie McGrath) left her hometown thirty years ago, in large part because some psycho killed her mom and carved her out of her belly. He's in jail now, and that was thirty years ago, so there's no way all those bodies piling up as soon as she comes back home are related to that incident, right? Season two, "Guilty Party" was a pretty classic story of horny camp counselors trying to cover up a killing they did, only to get picked off one by one. Season three was "Solstice" where a drug addict (Robert Cormier) is murdered and nobody cares, until all the witnesses who didn't help him start dying too, about one year later. Season Four "Flesh and Blood" was about a twisted rich dude who forces his kids to kill each other to determine who gets his fortune. And last but not least, "Ripper" was all about a killer a whole lot like Jack the Ripper who was always a step ahead of Detective Kenneth Rijkers (Gabriel Darku). There's a ton of chests and abs, but not all that much nudity. Don't these people know all slashers needs scenes that take place in showers? We do see Robert Cormier going gay, which lets us see a bit of his ass before the action gets going. Jim Watson shows us his buns when he ends up on the wrong side of some prison loving. Christopher Jacot and Thom Allison lighten the mood with some very consensual dude on dude, even if we only get to see them canoodling without their shirts on. Jaden Goetz shows his absurdly shredded abs while seducing some babe on her bed. We even get to see Jefferson Brown lounging in a sauna until a dude busts down the door and chainsaws him to death! There's tons of great hacking, but the nudity is rather lacking on Chiller's Slasher!
