Space Cowboys (2000)

Clint Eastwood proves it’s never too late to live out your dream and you’re never too old to be a sex symbol in the box office hit Space Cowboys (2000), not to be confused with the sporty flick Spaceman (2016) starring Josh Duhamel. Serving as director and leading man, Clint plays Colonel Francis D. “Frank” Corvin, Ph.D., USAF (Ret.). During the 1950s, he and his colleagues — Colonel William “Hawk” Hawkins (Tommy Lee Jones), Captain Jerry O’Neill (Donald Sutherland) and Captain “Tank” Sullivan (James Garner) — were all top pilots in the elite Air Force squadron with their eyes set on space travel. Alas, their hopes were dashed when NASA was established. Unable to earn outer space wings, the men moved on to other things: Frank went into engineering; Hawk became a freelance pilot; Jerry became an astrophysicist; and Tank turned into a Baptist minister. But when an out of control Russian satellite threatens to hit Earth, the four former flying aces are given the opportunity to head to the heavens to repair the satellite. Of course, before they can blast off, the guys must get a checkup from Dr. Anne Caruthers (Blair Brown). As such, the dudes doff their duds. Even though we get to see their collective chests, Mr. Eastwood and Mr. Jones let their body doubles reveal the rest. Fortunately, Mr. Garner bares his back and buns. The same can be said for Mr. Sutherland who flirts with the redheaded physician while he’s in the buff. What a stud!
