The Silent Storm (2014)

No matter what side of the pond you’re on, silence is dead sexy in The Silent Storm (2014), not to be confused with The Perfect Storm (2000) starring George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg. Thanks to the pen and direction of Corinna McFarlane, this R rated flick takes a look at life on a remote Scottish island in the 1940s. There, we meet Mrs. McKinnon (Kate Dickie), Mr. Smith (John Sessions), Mr. Stewart (Eric Robertson), and one ostracized housewife (Andrea Riseborough) who finds lust in all the wrong places. In other words, Aislin (Riseborough) yearns for more than her small community can provide her, and her insatiable yearnings create strife within her marriage to a minister named Balor (Damian Lewis) despite the fact that he’s a hottie who isn’t afraid to flash his abs on camera. Nevertheless, a 17 year-old delinquent called Fionn (Ross Anderson) creates a storm in Aislin’s panties when he’s sent to live with her and her uptight hubby. As you can guess, the little lady ends up having big fun with the newcomer as they develop a sexual, secret relationship. Before you can say “tryst”, this young dude appears in the nude. Fast forward to the 44-minute mark to see Mr. Anderson’s naked body in the bath tub. Rub a dub dub! All it takes one glance at his bare bum and wet pecs to make you reach for a towel. Suffice it to say, Mr. Man enjoys a costume drama when the comely cast members wear few costumes!
