Willow (2022)

It’s been 20 years since Nelwyn family man and aspiring sorcerer Willow Ufgood (Warwick Davis) vanquished the wicked queen Bavmorda and stopped her attack on the magical baby Elora Danan, but it seems darkness has returned to the kingdom of Tir Asleen. Sorsha (Joanne Whalley) now rules as queen with her two children, Kit (Ruby Cruz), the tomboy, and Airk (Dempsey Bryk), the playboy. Kit is forced into an arranged marriage with Graydon (Tony Revolori), the bookish Prince of Galladoorn, despite her obvious romantic entanglement with her best friend Jade (Erin Kellyman), but right before the wedding, the castle is attacked and Airk is kidnapped by a group of monsters called The Gales and taken to the evil Withered Crone in Immemorial City. A team is assembled to find Willow so he can help them rescue Airk before the Withered Crone and her dark magic take over their world. One of the brave souls that joins them is Thraxus Boorman (Amar Chadha-Patel), an imprisoned criminal that was once the squire of Sorsha’s missing husband (and Kit and Airk’s father), Madmartigan, who agrees to go in exchange for a pardon. Chadha-Patel does his best to fill the Val Kilmer-sized hole in this series as the funny and adventurous thief Boorman, even going so far as distracting us with a sexy, shirtless, slow motion shower scene under a waterfall in the fifth episode! Back to jail with you, sir, because that much hotness should definitely be against the law!
