The grandson of movie mogul Samuel Goldwyn of MGM fame, Tony Goldwyn was born for big-screen stardom. Tony grew up in Los Angeles but spent his adolescence on the East Coast, where he attended Hamilton College in New York and Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, before finishing his studies at the London Academy of Dramatic Art. He's been a working actor since 1986, when he made his debut in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. He played the villainous Carl Bruner in the hit movie Ghost (1990) with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore, and firmly established himself in Hollywood. He has since appeared in popular flicks on the big screen as Fletcher Coal in The Pelican Brief (1993), Harold Nixon in Nixon (1995), Will Rudolph in Kiss the Girls (1997), the voice of Tarzan in Tarzan (1999), Michael Drucker in The Sixth Day(2000), Colonel Bagley in The Last Samurai (2003), Paul Cohen in King Richard (2021), as Andrew inDivergent (2014) and Insurgent (2015), and a role in Oppenheimer (2023).
